St. Benedict’s Episcopal School is a co-educational preschool through 8th grade, located in Metro Atlanta, close to the intersections of Atlanta Road, Cumberland Parkway and the East-West Connector in Smyrna, Georgia, conveniently located in Cobb County. Founded in 2008, the preschool, elementary and middle school enrolls approximately 470 students in a program that encourages scholarship, openness, and inclusion in the Episcopal tradition. St. Benedict’s School encourages student creativity and inquiry-based learning in a caring and nurturing environment.

Episcopal Education

St. Benedict’s Episcopal School is an Episcopal parish day school. Being mindful of the different ethnic and religious backgrounds of our students, we offer weekly chapel services in the Christian Episcopal tradition of openness and inclusion. More on Episcopal Education.


Spanish is taught to all students on a daily basis by native speaking teachers in our preschool, elementary and middle schools. The Spanish curriculum is age appropriate starting with basics such as songs and counting with the 3 year olds and developing to grammar, reading and writing in the elementary and middle schools.


St. Benedict’s Episcopal School has 62 teaching faculty members.

We currently enroll approximately 470 students age 3 years old through 8th grade.
We have approximately 380 students in our elementary and middle schools--Kindergarten through 8th grade.
We have approximately 90 students in our preschool--age 3 years through Pre-Kindergarten 4 year olds.


One of our core values is to maintain an affordable tuition level so that more families have access to independent education. St. Benedict's offers athletics with the primary goal being to accentuate the development of the whole student and to achieve a personal level of excellence in the areas of fitness, team commitment and sportsmanship. 

Passport Afterschool Programs

Our morning and evening extended care programs are designed to accommodate working parents as well as to provide enrichment opportunities for all of our students. Early drop off begins at 7:00am and students may stay as late as 6:00pm in our afterschool program. A teacher supervised homework and reading hour is scheduled daily. The afterschool Passport Club program offers a variety of academic, athletic and artistic clubs for academic enrichment. We also offer fun and enriching summer camps for children of all ages.
