Jim grew up in New England before making his way, by way of South Bend, to Louisiana and finally Georgia. He met his wife on an archeological dig in Orvieto,Italy and the two now live with their two children in Marietta. Jim comes to Saint Benedict’s a veteran educator, coach and administrator. An avid classicist and long time Latin teacher, he was recently hired and featured by the High Museum for his translation of a Medieval Latin manuscript. As a head and assistant coach, he has been involved with many different boys and girls sports. He cites being part of the Westminster state championship team (2015) as his fondest coaching memory. An outdoorsman, he loves lake fishing at dawn and hiking. He has completed two ‘Camino’ hikes of 500 miles across Spain. He enjoys model railroading, the stock market and relaxing with his family.
