How To Apply For COVID-19
Bridge Funds

The St. Benedict COVID-19 Bridge Fund was created to temporarily help families facing a significant hardship due to substantial loss of income and do not have the resources to continue paying tuition.  Families who are adversely affected by the situations below may apply for this temporary emergency support.

  • Layoff or lost their jobs due to COVID-19 financial crisis. A layoff qualifies as a full separation from the company.

  • Furloughed employees with no pay. A furlough is a mandatory, temporary, unpaid leave.

  • Reduced Hours/Pay Cut due to COVID-19.

A rolling application process is being used.  Requests are being reviewed monthly at least through the Winter of 2021.  This is financial aid not a loan and it is aid for the upcoming 3 month period.  If financial situation has not improved by the end of that three month period the family can apply for additional aid.  Use a rolling monthly application process.

  1. Applications due by the 1st of each month.

  2. Applications will be verified by the 14th of the month.

  3. Recommendations to be provided to the committee on the 15th of each month.

  4. Award notices will be sent by the 20th.

  5. Award period: Awards are applied against the upcoming 3-month period.  Families can apply again after the three months.

  6. Eligibility criteria:  Families are eligible to receive award if significant loss in income and little unrestricted savings available to make payments. We need parents to pay what they can.

  7. The application process utilizes our FACTs financial aid system and includes a requirement for explanation of change of circumstances and evidence of change.
