Junior Campers

Attention mini Yogi-Bear fans, come learn to camp with us. We are going to explore the awesomeness of staying in the outdoors and of course, learn to make s'mores!

"COCINERITOS Playa" / "Little Chefs Beach" (Spanish Cooking Camp)

This famous Ms. Marta’s Spanish cooking camp is calling boys and girls for a week of cooking delicious BEACH Hawaiian recipes, learning, doing art, dress-up and whole lot of fun! During this hands-on camp children will learn basic knife skills, food exploration, teamwork, meal planning, kitchen utensils, ingredients, table settings and cooking commands, all in SPANISH!

Tennis Camp

Come and learn all the basics of tennis based on the 10 and Under Net Generation Program of the USTA. Students will use equipment such as, mini nets and low compression balls perfect for their age group. Students will have a blast learning tennis with fun games, popsicles, and prizes.

Jitterbug Performing Arts

Jitterbug camps expand the imagination and bring the stage to life! Each week is a new theme from Broadway, to music video, Olympics, Superhero, and more! Campers create a mini show, complete with props, vocals, costumes, and choreography!

Camp H2O

Way2Cheer

Way2Cheer camp focuses on crowd leading and skills fundamentals, with exclusive material and dances. Campers will learn fundamental cheerleading and dance skills including cheerleading motion technique, dances, jumps, tumbling and stunts in a safe environment. There will be lots to do including confidence-building activities and of course cheers and dances daily. Participants will be assigned a big buddy that will work one on one with them to ensure a quality camp experience. The week concludes with a choreographed performance!

The Reading Cafe- Web Walking with Charlotte

Friendship, kindness and loyalty is what this camp is all about! Do you love getting lost in a good book or wishing you were a character in an adventurous or funny story? Then this is the camp for you! We will be reading the book "Charlotte's Web" while incorporating academic skills, learning positive characteristics about ourselves and creating fun and engaging arts and crafts! We will make an exciting STEM parachute activity, build our own web, make delicious "Wilbur's Brew", "spider eggs" and so much more! We will focus on literal and inferential comprehension, oral fluency, vocabulary, making connections (text to text, text to self, text to world), character analysis and story elements. The campers will integrate science into their reading by learning about and creating animal life cycle posters for the different characters in Charlotte's Web. Higher order thinking skills will seamlessly flow throughout the week to ensure campers will be ready for the upcoming school year by “spinning” into action and having the mindset that they can accomplish anything they put their mind to!

History thorugh Film

This camp will focus on culture, history, introduction of bias, and presentation. Students will watch, study, critique and learn from appropriate films based on true stories and/or set in historical times. In addition to watching the movies, students will learn about the time the film is set in, the issue being addressed, and what the lasting impact is. Students will compare and contrast the true story to the film portrayal, all while learning more about the historical significance of media and film representation. They will present at the end of each day about the time and place in which the film took place. Group work, presenting, and research will be a large focus of this academic camp. At the end of the week, students will write a paper on the historical event they found most interesting. The goal of this camp will be to cultivate a cultural and historical interest in the students, and encourage research to understand the importance of forming and opinion or reach a conclusion of impact of the media.

Minecraft: Coding and Programming

Minecraft Modding is a great way to teach an introduction to computer programming and Java Coding. Using an intricate system, intertwined with Minecraft, campers will modify their games in ways they could have never imagined. Star Wars skins and developing our own mini-games will be just a portion of what we do!
