Jared began teaching part time at St. Benedict’s Episcopal School in the fall of 2018. He has significant teaching experience in both academic and ecclesial contexts and is currently an associate minister at Peachtree Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), an historic church in Midtown, where he oversees adult education.
Jared is currently pursuing a doctorate degree from Emory University, where he is exploring theological, social, and philosophical assessments of dementia and cognitive decline. He earned his master’s degree from Duke University with an emphasis in New Testament and Christian origins. Jared has also completed coursework at Harvard Law School and Harvard Divinity School. His writing has been published in academic journals, and he has been an invited presenter for churches, colleges, the Society of Biblical Literature, and the American Academy of Religion.
Jared is married to Katrina, a writer and editor, and they have two young children who attend St. Benedict’s.
