Laura Szyperski is affectionately known as Ms. S by the St. Benedict’s community. She grew up in Atlanta, Georgia, where most of her family still resides today. She graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from Sewanee: The University of the South in Tennessee and played on the university's tennis team. Ms. S received her teaching certificate from the Galloway Teacher Institute through the University of North Georgia. She completed a Master's Degree in Literacy Education from Georgia State University to become a reading specialist. She has taught both kindergarten and third grade in her teaching career. She is Orton-Gillingham trained and has completed the Complete Reading Series. Currently, she is part of the learning resource team as the reading specialist for students in kindergarten through fourth grade. Ms. S loves working with small groups of students and teachers from various grade levels! In her free time, she enjoys reading and relaxing with her family and friends. She loves working at St. B's with wonderful children, teachers, staff and parents!
