Marta Lash (Ms. Marta) is a Spanish native speaker from Cali, Colombia. She has a 22 year old daughter, Natalia, who is a Graphic Designer and works in the Marketing team at The Atlanta International School. Ms. Lash has a Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering and a CDA (Child Development Associate) Certification. Ms. Lash arrived at the United States in 2004 and since then she has been working with children. Back in August 2010 she had the opportunity to join St. Benedict’s family and fell in love with teaching. In her first two years she worked as an associated teacher in the 3-year-old class and started teaching and creating the Spanish curriculum for preschool. She has also taught First Grade for the Native Spanish students, Introduction to Spanish in middle school and 3rd Grade Spanish class. Ms. Lash is currently the only Spanish teacher for Preschool (since 2010) and Kindergarten (since 2014) and one of the Spanish teachers for 1st Grade (since 2019).
In order to help to improve the children’s Spanish language skills and supplement their vocabulary and continue the fun while they learn, Ms. Lash offers an after School Spanish Cooking Clubs and Spanish Cooking Summer Camps.
