Megan Dickerson is the lead teacher in the 1 year old classroom as well as a mother to her 1 year old daughter, Scarlet, in same class and her 3 year old son, Sawyer, who is starting PreK-3 this year after being in the 0-2 classes since he was he was 3 months old.
From a young age, Megan has always known that she wanted to work with children. She received her BS in Secondary Education from Kennesaw State University and, in years past, taught high school English at Allatoona and Kell High School in Cobb County. Prior to teaching high school, Megan worked with younger children as a preschool teacher in Connecticut.
Megan believes in teaching through hands-on learning and promotes creative learning experiences through exploration. Additionally, Megan has a passion for literature and strongly believes in the importance of reading to children everyday. Megan also believes in the importance of communication with parents to promote the best interests of the children under her care. She values your wants and needs for your child and encourages you to always feel free to express your concerns, share educational ideas, or ask any questions in order to ensure the best experience for your child at St. Benedict's.
