Passport Guidelines 2020 - 2021

Registration for Passport (semester 2) will be open from November 20, 2020 – December 18, 2020. In order to plan and safely accommodate students, everyone must register during this time in order to utilize Passport for the 2nd semester.  We will not be able to accommodate drop ins during the 2nd semester.  See below for further details.

 BEFORE CARE

  • K-8th grade:  Unfortunately, due to the low numbers of interest for Passport before school care, before care will not be offered for the remainder of the school year for grades K - 8th. 

  • Preschool 3 and PreK:  We do have enough interest and can safely hold before school care for preschool 3 and PreK since all of their classrooms (pods) are on the same floor.  Registration will be open for this age group for care from 7 – 9 am.

  • For preschool siblings of K – 8th students, you may drop off your preschool students during carpool from 7:40 – 8:10am at no charge if you have let us know ahead of time.  This commitment must be for the semester as we are not able to accommodate drop-ins during carpool.  If you are interested in this for the semester, please email passport@stbs.org so that they may register you in order to have your child accounted for in the total enrollment.

  • Preschool Infant - 2:   Before school care continues to be offered in this area as normal from 7:30 to 9 am. 

 

AFTER CARE

  • REGISTRATION AND COMMITMENT

    • In order to adequately staff for Passport after school care for the first semester and keep the numbers to a level that allows us to safely physically distance students, we must know our total enrollment before the semester begins.

    • Therefore, you must register between November 30, 2020- December 18, 2020 to be guaranteed a spot in the after school program.

    • Registration into the program will be for the commitment to utilize Passport after school care for the first semester.

    • In order to maintain the safety of our students in their physically distanced pods, we will NOT be able to accommodate emergency care for those students that are not registered for the semester.  

  • ENROLLMENTS AFTER THE DEADLINE AND EMERGENCY CARE

    • We will consider accepting enrollments after the deadline listed above, in the Registration and Commitment section, if we have available space.  We must consider the student’s safety and ensure they are able to physically distance comfortably while in the after school program.  Any enrollment that could potentially overcrowd the room, will not be accepted until we can reach a minimum number of students to open another pod up.

    • Emergency Care:  We will not be able to offer Emergency Care or drop ins this year as we may not safely have space for them in the program due to the need to physically distance.

      • If an emergency situation arises and you are unable to pick up your student and they are not registered in the after school program, we will not be able to accept them into the after school program.  If they remain at school, there will be a $50 charge per hour.  Students are required to be picked up within that hour.  Passport will make all attempts to reach the parents or emergency contacts.

  • PAYMENTS AND FEES

    • The total cost of the after school program selected will be divided into four (4) equal monthly payments.  

    • Monthly payments will automatically be drafted to the card on file (entered during program registration), in advance, with the first payment due on January 5, 2021 and the last payment due on May 26, 2021. 

    • Any registered student that remains after their scheduled pick up time will be charged $12.00 per hour for the extended time.  

    • Any registered student that remains after 6pm will be charged $1.00 per minute for the extended time.  

    • We understand that emergencies happen where you are unable to pick up your student on time.  Please keep in mind that our staff are scheduled to leave at 6 pm. Any time a student remains after 6pm, may place a hardship on our staff.

  • CANCELLATIONS AND REFUNDS

    • In order to guarantee staff continuity, should Passport need to close at any time for 10 days or less, no refunds will be issued.  This will allow our students to return to the same Passport staff they had during the time of closure.

    • If Passport remains closed beyond 10 consecutive business days, scheduled payments will be put on hold.  If applicable, refunds will be issued at 100% for the period of time after the 10 consecutive days to the end of the prepaid period.

    • Should Passport reopen, payments will be reactivated and prorated according to the remaining time left in the semester.
