Great Kindness Challenge is Coming Soon!
We are excited to announce that St. B's will be participating in the 2020 Great Kindness Challenge during the week of January 27-31. The school will join more than 24,000 other schools across the country to focus on providing a culture of kindness. Although The Great Kindness Challenge is celebrated for one special week, the priority is to convey that every kind act matters, not just this week, but always.
Your child will receive a checklist and will be encouraged to complete as many acts of kindness throughout the week. Your child will also be encouraged to participate in the following spirit days:
Monday, January 27th: "Kindness Challenge Kick-Off Day" Students may wear their Great Day of Service shirt, make their own kindness shirt, or purchase one (there is a great selection on Amazon and at many stores such as Target and Walmart). Shirts must be worn with school uniform bottom.
Wednesday, January 29th: "Sock it to Meanness Day" Students may wear silly or mismatched socks with their uniform.
Friday, January 31st: "Team Up for Kindness Day" Students may wear their favorite sport or sports team shirt with their uniform bottom.
In addition to spirit days, students will be participating in special assemblies to kick-off and celebrate the Great Kindness Challenge. Daily kindness activities will be led in The Preschool and Lower School. Grades 5-8 will participate in a Mix-it-Up Lunch and end the week with kindness stations during their advisory.
