Dear St. Benedict's Families,
Welcome back to another exciting school year! It's been a refreshing start, with a week and a half of preplanning alongside our dedicated faculty and a successful first day of classes. The energy on campus is palpable, and I can't help but feel the enthusiasm radiating from our entire community. Please reference the Welcome Back email sent out on July 12, 2024 (you can view a sample of that letter here).
My favorite time of the school year is seeing the energy exuding through the faculty and staff at preplanning; and then seeing and hearing the children enter their new classrooms, seeing old friends and meeting new classmates. During a sermon at preplanning, I described these images as an image of heaven. I also equated the miracle of feeding the five thousand to this time of year. Jesus looking at the crowds with compassion and healing the sick is the liken to the role of a teacher seeing children and paying attention to their needs. The number of gifts and the abundance of love at St. Benedict’s is going to feed us all as we inspire learning and nurture growth in our diverse and inclusive educational model.Â
As we embark on this new academic year, we are also filled with great excitement and pride to announce the inauguration of our 15th Anniversary celebrations! As we commemorate this important milestone, we reflect on the journey that has brought us here and look ahead to the promising future before us and "Imagine What's Next." Throughout this special year, we have planned a series of events to engage both our current families and esteemed alumni. Guided by our mission to embrace the values of Episcopal education, we look forward to celebrating a decade and a half of inspiring learning and nurturing growth, as we continue to foster an environment where every student can thrive. For more information about our anniversary events and how you can get involved, please visit our dedicated anniversary landing page at www.stbs.org/anniversary.
