15th Annual Fun Run Celebrates Community, Legacy and What’s Ahead

St. Benedict’s Episcopal School, in partnership with our Parent Association, hosted its 15th Annual Fun Run on Saturday, October 17, 2026, bringing together students, families, alumni, faculty, friends and supporters for one of St. B’s most beloved traditions.

The chilly fall morning began early, with volunteers arriving to prepare for the day ahead. Parents, students, alumni and longtime supporters worked alongside one another to welcome runners and help bring the event to life. Among this year’s volunteers were members of the St. B’s community who helped establish and grow the Fun Run in its earliest years, a meaningful reminder of how far both the event and our school have come.

Members of the community joined us throughout the morning. Along with the run itself, families enjoyed several local vendors, opportunities to connect with one another and new St. B’s spirit wear available through the Parent Association.

One of the morning’s special moments was the presentation of the 2026 Trustee Award to Travis and Elizabeth Pietrusza. Presented by Board Chair Tim Gould, the award recognizes members of the St. Benedict’s community who have made a meaningful and lasting impact on the school through their leadership, generosity and service.

During the presentation, Tim also reflected on the journey of St. Benedict’s and shared a vision for what lies ahead. His remarks highlighted the Imagine Capital Campaign and the important role our entire community can play in supporting the future of the school.

That message felt especially fitting on a morning surrounded by people representing so many chapters of the St. B’s story. From those who helped launch traditions like the Fun Run years ago to current families, students and alumni returning to volunteer, the day offered an opportunity to celebrate where we began, how much we have grown and what we are building together.

Thank you to our volunteers, Parent Association, vendors, sponsors, runners and supporters who made the 15th Annual Fun Run possible. Year after year, this tradition

continues to remind us that the strength of St. Benedict’s has always been its community.
