The St. Benedict’s Episcopal School Library Read-A-Thon has officially wrapped up, and what an incredible success it was! From October 14 through October 31, our students dove into books with enthusiasm and heart, showing just how much St. B’s loves to read. Together, our school community raised over $23,000 and logged more than 87,000 minutes of reading—an amazing accomplishment that reflects our shared commitment to fostering a lifelong love of learning.
Congratulations to our top readers: Oliver B. (Kindergarten), Eliza T. (1st Grade), Ellie A. (2nd Grade), Brooklyn L. (3rd Grade), and Avery S. (4th Grade). Each of these students will be recognized during our school parade and will carry special signs celebrating their accomplishments, which they can take home as a keepsake. A big shout-out also goes to Ms. Gramlich and Ms. Zambrano’s 3rd-grade class, who read over 10,000 minutes, earning the title of top reading class for this year’s Read-A-Thon! And congratulations to our 8th-grade students, who took home the overall Read-A-Thon win in middle school—and earned the special privilege of painting Fr. Brian, our Head of School’s, hair pink in celebration!

Another highlight of the Read-A-Thon season was our annual Character Day Parade, where Kindergarten through 4th-grade students brought their favorite book characters to life! From superheroes and storybook classics to modern favorites, the creativity and excitement filled the halls, making it a joyful celebration of reading and imagination.
Thank you to every student, teacher, and family member who participated, encouraged, and supported our readers. Your enthusiasm helped make this event a fun, inspiring, and memorable celebration of reading. Together, we continue to nurture a community of curious, passionate readers—one book at a time.
