At St. Benedict's Episcopal School, we are proud to highlight the remarkable achievements and character of our students. Today, we shine a spotlight on Ethan C., a fourth-grader whose dedication to his community and love for adventure are truly inspiring.
Ethan is a second-year scout in Cub Scout Pack 22, which meets at Life Church in Smyrna. He’s passionate about the scouting program, enjoying the outdoor activities and opportunities to learn and experience new things. This fall, Ethan’s leadership and enthusiasm earned him the role of recruiter for his pack, a position he accepted with great pride. His willingness to help bring others into scouting, combined with his commitment to living by the Scout Oath and Law, made him the perfect choice for the role.
In October, Ethan and his pack had the exciting opportunity to participate in a once-in-a-lifetime event—they were chosen to unfurl the American flag during the opening ceremony of the NASCAR YellaWood 500 Race at Talladega Superspeedway. This special moment, broadcasted live on national television, was a testament to the dedication of Pack 22, which has been recognized for its exceptional engagement and active participation in scouting. The pack is led by Cub Master Dave Smith and supported by a wonderful group of parents and volunteers from the Smyrna community.
For anyone interested in scouting, Pack 22 welcomes new members! Meetings are held every Monday at 6:30 PM at Life Church in Smyrna. To learn more, contact Jerrice C., Ethan’s mom and a Pack 22 committee member, at 404-386-5967. Scouting offers boys and girls a chance to explore, grow, and develop lifelong skills, so don't hesitate—get out and scout!
